[WEEK 2, SATURDAY POST-TRIAL: Katara]
[knock knock knock on the Katara-Inuyasha hut. the only reason she's here is because someone bullied her into getting first aid]
Heeeeey! I need a bandage! Quick, before I bleed out! Help meeeeeeeeeee. . .!
[ah, yes. unnecessary dramatics]

Haa? Who was the first?
[she steps inside though]
no subject
Just someone who had a really bad break with the hallucinations.
no subject
Uho, you're really turning yourself into the island healer, then.
no subject
[ she's digging through the supplies, pulling out bandages and disinfectant and the like. listen... most of the shit in this is foreign to her, she's from a fantasyworld, so katara has basically just been aggressively reading labels this past week to figure out what everything does. why does she have this. who made her the doctor. ]
no subject
Bingo! That Musclehead is faster than I thought. Perhaps I'll make him pay for daring to marr the perfect skin of the Great Witch Magilou!
[she's kidding]
[probably]
no subject
[ unless making him pay is like, putting a crab in his pillow or something, but katara isn't sure how that would end either considering these two very different personality types. ]
Hold out your arm.
no subject
How do you know??
[holds out her arm like a good Magilou]
no subject
This will probably sting a bit. [ now that she got the motherly concern out of the way, she'll move onto the teasing. ] And because if you did anything to Jaffar, Nino would be upset. And I think I recall you saying that you like her?
no subject
[she doesn't even flinch when Katara starts cleaning her injury tbh]
I said nothing of the sort! She is a thorn in my paw! A fly in my eye! Indigestion on a bad day!
no subject
[ see the thing with trials is that anyone can overhear anything. :) ]
no subject
I destroyed it. Threw it back into the ocean, where it belongs.
[lies it's still hidden under her neck fluff]
no
[ katara didn't actually get a good look at it but it's nino so. she assumes it was cute. ]
We can ask her to make you another.
Francy is an enabler
Stop this! I'm being bullied by my physician!!!
yea
[ lmao
well now that the wound is clean, she'll move onto the next part. i'm not a real physician. ]
no subject
I don't believe it.
[for all her shitposting at least she is a good patient]
no subject
[ i would be concerned if she wasn't since getting an infected wound in this place sounds bad. ]
no subject
Was it just me, or were things awfully loud in this hut earlier?
[hey francy you said there was yelling in this hut Magilou heard it]
no subject
My roommate and I just got into a respectable disagreement.
[ she's stretching the definition of respectable here. ]
no subject
[ain't she blunt]
no subject
[ it's why she didn't really have much of reaction to it. ]
no subject
Then? What's the problem?
no subject
[ she gives magilou's arm another inspection before reaching for the bandages. ]
It just would have been too obvious of a protest vote if both of us did it, I think. And... I don't know. I knew she wouldn't have done it, but her attitude during the trial rubbed me the wrong way. She didn't care about what she was doing to the rest of us, so even if she was innocent for the murder, she didn't feel... completely innocent overall.
no subject
[her gaze remains fairly neutral, even though the slight curl of her smile doesn't disappear, despite the more serious subject matter]
I see.
[is it okay to vote to kill someone you know is innocent simply because you don't like their attitude? it's the question she's thinking, but not the one she's asking. she doesn't want to get involved in this moral debate. not any more than she already has]
[she's an observer. that's what she keeps telling herself. and ultimately, if people are at least making choices in line with their own paths in life. . . then she can't judge them, anyway]
Well! You know what I always say: go with what's in your gut! Follow your heart, steer your own rudder, etcetera etcetera. Don't let anyone else tell you that you're wrong for doing what feels the most right.
no subject
But doing what feels right can still be wrong. Just because your gut tells you something doesn't mean you're on the correct path, because people make wrong choices all the time while thinking they're right. I've done this. Everyone else here probably have. That's when you stop, see what you did wrong, and learn from your mistake so you can do better next time.
no subject
But who decides which path is the correct one?
