[knock knock knock on the Katara-Inuyasha hut. the only reason she's here is because someone bullied her into getting first aid]

Heeeeey! I need a bandage! Quick, before I bleed out! Help meeeeeeeeeee. . .!

Earlier in the week, we thought that we could just vote for each other if we were ever in another situation like the first trial where we were uncertain of who to vote for. So he was... really angry when I didn't vote for him.

[ she gives magilou's arm another inspection before reaching for the bandages. ]

It just would have been too obvious of a protest vote if both of us did it, I think. And... I don't know. I knew she wouldn't have done it, but her attitude during the trial rubbed me the wrong way. She didn't care about what she was doing to the rest of us, so even if she was innocent for the murder, she didn't feel... completely innocent overall.

[her gaze remains fairly neutral, even though the slight curl of her smile doesn't disappear, despite the more serious subject matter]

I see.

[is it okay to vote to kill someone you know is innocent simply because you don't like their attitude? it's the question she's thinking, but not the one she's asking. she doesn't want to get involved in this moral debate. not any more than she already has]

[she's an observer. that's what she keeps telling herself. and ultimately, if people are at least making choices in line with their own paths in life. . . then she can't judge them, anyway]

Well! You know what I always say: go with what's in your gut! Follow your heart, steer your own rudder, etcetera etcetera. Don't let anyone else tell you that you're wrong for doing what feels the most right.

[ well, it's less that she didn't ~like her attitude~ and more that austria was completely okay with condemning them to a situation that screwed them over more than she seemed to realize. more than a lot of people seem to have, actually. ]

But doing what feels right can still be wrong. Just because your gut tells you something doesn't mean you're on the correct path, because people make wrong choices all the time while thinking they're right. I've done this. Everyone else here probably have. That's when you stop, see what you did wrong, and learn from your mistake so you can do better next time.

No one specifically. We all do. That's what it means being part of a group, Magilou. We'll argue, and get angry at each other, but as long as people are trying their best to make sure everyone makes it out of here instead of only concentrating on themselves, we'll be okay.

If you say so! That still doesn't explain why your roommate got angry at you for suddenly deviating from your ingenious plan to dodge the rules.

He really doesn't need a lot of reasons to yell at you.

It's actually really not that hard to talk to him though, once you get used to it.

[ katara is used to dealing with loud, dumb boys. it's fine. ]

He thinks you're capable of murder because of that, just so you know.

How did he know I come from a world where coconut theft is a gateway crime to murder?!

Truthfully, I'm not looking for fights at all. They just happen to find me.

Jaffar probably wouldn't have attacked you if you just talked to him normally from the start.
