[WEEK 3, FRIDAY POST-INVESTIGATION: Zuko]
[HEY ZUKO]
[there's a pink witch in a jester hat wandering around the hut area with a book in her hands]
[do you bother, y/n? she seems to be engrossed in thought. . . which means her features are much softer than they usually are]

Something on your mind?
[Beside the obvious]
no subject
[but she does glance up from her book, stopping in her tracks to give him a curl of a grin]
It's nothing. I'm working on a new fish recipe: fish, with roasted banana slices!
[gross]
no subject
That sounds disgusting. And I'm willing to bet two bites of it that's not really what's on your mind.
You had a lot to say last trial.

[time to play stupid]
I was boooored, that's all. Some people just kept missing the obvious!
no subject
So, I'm missing the obvious right now. Aren't you bored? Fill me in.
no subject
[also, she sighs]
There's no obvious to miss just yet. I feel like we're working with a lot more puzzle pieces than we were last week.
[and most of them are completely nonsensical]
I can't figure out what any of them mean.
no subject
Well, there is something I noticed. Mello had a lot of theories on the killers and their behavior. He was killed days after he spoke them out loud.
Were you present for that meeting?
no subject
[as though she'd miss something potentially useful like an informational meeting]
But. . . even if he was killed for having a lot of theories, that doesn't really help us out much. It just made him an easy target-- and a stupid talker.
no subject
Yes, well, there was one thing in particular he was adamant about. [the whole... the people who seem the most trustworthy may be the killers, so clearly Nino was confirmed for mastermind] It's my guess as to why he was killed.
Your thoughts?
no subject
Hard to say.
[she knows it's a non-answer, but she also knows she just doesn't have enough information to give a good one]
A lot of it depends on the Chiefs' perspective. "Trustworthy" people being killers may be entertaining in a certain way, but otherwise difficult to handle. [what with them fighting against the system and all] "Shady" people being killers makes more sense in that it's easier to get them to take a life, but I don't know if that counts as entertaining.
I don't know what my thoughts are yet. I just. . . don't have enough.
no subject
And we have no idea what they consider "entertaining."
I don't think any of us have enough information. But we need to start getting our act together before we kill more innocent people.
[this conversation is now hilariously ironic considering the timing]
no subject
Uho. . .
You really think we can avoid it at this point?
no subject
We should at least try to minimize it. People need to focus on what's important.
