[WEEK 3, FRIDAY POST-INVESTIGATION: Lucina]
[Magilou wasn't the type to be easily shaken, especially not by creepy volleyball faces and yellow dresses and blue wigs. such scare tactics were beyond her, and she rejected their effectiveness on her being!!]
[. . . but Lucina-- whom she truly believed was being honest when she said she would be okay-- had at least some measure of a reaction to the creepy effigy found during the day's investigation. and so. . . after everyone has retired back to their huts for the night, Magilou asks the question that has been on her mind all day]
What do you think they gain from all this. . . unnecessary violence, hm?
["they" being "the killers"]

[ Lucina sits on her bed, once again propped up against the wall with her legs lain flat in front of her. She's fumbling with the sleeve of her dress, trying with her one hand left to knot it back up. It had slipped at some point, revealing her shorn arm.
As she does the thing, or tries to, she continues, ]
It's possible that they know something about this game that we do not. If we could convict an actual killer, there may be somewhat to gained by questioning them.
[ Assuming Cream Soda will even allow it? ]

[she steps forward, takes Lucina's sleeve carefully in her hands, and attempts to tie it together]
Those sound like awfully big words. We're zero for two so far.

She is grateful, don't believe otherwise. There's faint fondness in her glance. ]
Yes, I know. Our situation here is quite precarious.
[ Bluntly, Lucina will ask, ]
Magilou, do you have any suspicions regarding today's deaths?
no subject
Not a single one.
[she says with a deep exhale]
And believe me, I hate it. I feel like I'm floundering in the dark, here.
no subject
As do I.
... Why do you think they made an effigy of me?
[ Lucina isn't even sure who she means by "they". (Quietly, she follows her question up with a thank you and a soft smile, noticing her sleeve is sorted once more.) ]

Ugh, good question. It was super creepy! The only thing I can think is that they were trying to give us some kind of message. . .!
[but HECK IF SHE KNOWS what it is. she might have questions post-trial and execution, but. you know. those will come later]

- us?
[ Lucina frowns when she asks, but it isn't especially condemning.
She just, you know, does that. ]

[her bewilderment that Lucina fixated on that word in particular is clear on her expression]
You and me, obviously! Since we're partners and all.

[ It's actually a bit surprising to hear Magilou attach herself to Lucina like that. Surprising, but not unwelcome.
A smile. It's not a frown! ]
What do you think a message to us could be?
no subject
[that's]
[. . . really morbid!!!]
no subject
[ THAT IS REALLY MORBID, WHAT THE HELL MAGILOU ]
Perhaps it was commentary on my hair choices.

What's wrong with your hair choice? Blue is in season.
