[she waits until Thursday morning to seek him out. not because she needed time to process the information, but because she had been so damn busy yesterday. talking to people. exchanging letters. exchanging theories. trying to make sure Lucina will be safe come trial this Saturday]

[it's exhausting. it's far more than what she's used to doing, honestly. she's supposed to be an observer, not a meddler, and yet here she is. actively trying to keep their last hope in this game alive]

[this island has made her more than just soft. it's made her a do-gooder, too]

[but none of that is important now, and wherever Akira may be, Magilou will find him as she tosses her letter bottle from one hand to the next]

akira is laughing somewhat easily at that; he's amused even if she's yanking on his nose.

and it doesn't seem like he's planning on putting her down.]

I wonder where we should go.

I'm cold. Wherever we go, it should be somewhere warm. And I can walk there perfectly fine on my own!

The bonfire.

[the hot springs are nice but she doesn't feel like taking a dip right now]

[cheek smooshing accepted. it seems he's gotten used to this gesture enough that it really doesn't faze him at all.]

Bonfire it is. [and then, a thoughtful sigh.] With the weather like this, it would've been nice to get some sweet potatoes to roast. But those bastards are still pretty useless most of the time.

Sweet potatoes? I was thinking marshmallows.

[snags his hand, fingers linking with his, to tug him towards the bonfire]

Marshmallows are good when the weather's warm. Sweet potatoes are nice for snowy days, though.

[he's sure of this, and that's why he explains it pretty casually as he threads their fingers together and squeezes her hand lightly.]

Although we're just talking about our food fantasies, now. We have no means of securing neither marshmallows or sweet potatoes.

Oooh, maybe I'll finally get my mai tai, too. I gave up on asking for them, but that doesn't mean I don't still want one.
