...well, I was going to say I think it's interesting that Keith named two pairs of partners and deliberately left Katara's out, but now I'd rather know what it means.

[START TALKING, MAGILOU]

I mean, I wouldn't exactly trust Inuyasha either to be perfectly fair.

[He's holding up the letter though and he's pointing out some things.]

So this--["Recently, I learned how to tell which version is the "original" and which one's wrong. Have you? Maybe not. But think about it."]--has to be about the Chiefs? Or our perception of what is and isn't real.

As for trusting all of us excluding Inuyasha, I assume it's because Keith maybe knows we're on the right track? I don't know yet. It's hard to make out but that's...[A glance to Yona.] You remember what I told you on Saturday? I don't know why they'd know, but maybe.

[And he looks back to Magilou.]

Alright. What do you think it means?

[she shakes her head]

I think it's more likely that line refers to the ending to this game. Keith and I had a long talk about that, hmmm? The "bootleg" ending is probably the ending we don't want. That's the flag.

[taps the second paragraph of the letter c:]

And here, he tells us exactly how to get that "good ending." It's why he's sending me to you two, and to Katara.

You three must know something. Or at least, be awfully close to figuring something out.

...he's not exactly subtle, but I think that sort of makes him trustworthy in a weird way.

[Like. If he stabbed someone he'd probably just own it? He has a very "Yeah, so what?" attitude about murder.]

...I know we've all got our theories... Hiro and I have been doing a lot of thinking. Katara has, too.

[She glances at Hiro, her expression thoughtful.]

It's hard to tell if we're on the right track, though. Especially when the Chiefs just keep laughing at us in trials instead of answering our questions.

[He shakes his head.] Maybe he's not a murderer but he's still kind of annoying.

Katara and I have been talking since we got here about trying to figure this all out. We know that Bellamy and Lief probably have the most information out of all of us now. What that means, I don't know yet. But...you ever think the Chiefs are laughing at us and ignoring us because we are on the right track? Maybe we need to backtrack to things we said.

[There's more, of course, but.] Might be a little hard but it's worth a short.

What sort of backtracking were you thinking of?

The Chiefs laugh at me and ignore me a lot. That better be why.

[She'll feel a little better if that's why?]

Last trial we talked a lot about virtual reality and what is and isn't real... a lot of that doesn't make very much sense to me. It's all really complicated.

[She huffs. This would all be so much easier if it was a dream.]

But if we're on the right track, then maybe we should think about what specifically we were saying?

[A pause.]

...Magilou, are you still writing things down for your book?

[zerotohiro]

Robots can be pretty willful. Baymax ignores me all the time.

[But anyway.] That was my fault. If I'd known you didn't even know what movies were I would have explained it a lot better. We already know this place can't possibly be real. None of it makes sense otherwise. But yeah. We talked about virtual reality and I know you thought it was like a dream, but they're not the same. A lot of people were talking about how to use our last question, too. Which...we still have one from Kyouko's game. We should figure out how to use that.

[Before he goes too far, however, there's a pause.] You've been taking notes?

[spinatalltale]

[she pulls up a grin, and waves a hand]

Diligently! ☆ Well, it's more like a novelization of everything happening on the island, but--

[to Yona]

Why do you ask?

[cutefaced]

...they're not the same, but wouldn't it be simpler for it to be a dream? And Keith said... it's not as complicated as we think.

[Yona shrugs. She wouldn't know the difference either way, really.]

We can think about the simplest theories we have and see if there are any clues we can find that fit them...

[And then, to Magilou -]

I just thought, if you look through them, maybe you noted down what things people said that the Chiefs laughed at. Or you might help us remember things that we didn't think too much about before.

It would be stupidly simple which is why we didn't think it was possible. But she's right. Magilou, if you have anything that might point us in the right direction...? [Please share?]

That sure is a big favor you're asking of me. What do I get in return?

[but despite her protests, she is pulling out her journal and flipping through it!]

...you get to leave here alive if we figure this out?

We're on a deserted island covered in snow. It's not like we have a ton of options. [But there's a huff.] ...you share with us, I'll tell you anything else I learn before the trial. I've been investigating on my own. Yona knows.

What's it say about the dream theory? Or about the Wickie or anything that might be helpful?
